MIAMI — April 15, 2025Windstar Cruises has offered a first look at the interior design of its upcoming yacht, Star Seeker, revealing newly imagined dining and lounge venues that aim to reimagine onboard social life. Slated to embark on its inaugural voyage in December 2025, the 224-passenger vessel is the cruise line’s first new-build in its Star Class and is scheduled for a christening in Miami on Jan. 15, 2026.

The design details revealed this week focus on three of the ship’s core communal spaces — Amphora Restaurant, the Main Lounge, and the Yacht Club — each crafted to serve multiple roles throughout the day while maintaining Windstar’s signature casual-yet-refined ambiance.

Amphora Restaurant: Signature Dining, Reinvented

Windstar’s main dining room, Amphora, has been reimagined as an all-day venue with flexible indoor and outdoor seating. While dinner remains a multi-course, fine dining experience inspired by the cruise line’s partnership with the James Beard Foundation, mornings and afternoons offer a more relaxed setting. Guests can expect a vibrant buffet with live cooking stations alongside à la carte options tailored to individual tastes — no reservations required.

Basil + Bamboo: A Fusion of Flavors

The ship’s newest culinary concept, Basil + Bamboo, brings together Mediterranean and Asian influences in an intimate setting. Unlike many specialty restaurants at sea, dining here is included in the fare, though reservations are recommended. The venue offers an evening-only menu that blends exotic flavors in what Windstar describes as a “complementary fine-dining experience.”

Yacht Club: From Sunrise Coffee to Starlit Cocktails

Located at the heart of the ship, the Yacht Club serves as a social anchor from morning to night. Early risers will find espresso drinks and light breakfast bites, while the space transforms in the evening into a relaxed cocktail lounge with low lighting and soft music. Its open layout and versatile furnishings are designed to encourage connection among passengers — a hallmark of the Windstar experience.

Main Lounge: A Space That Shifts with the Day

By day, the Main Lounge hosts enrichment programming, destination talks, and trivia sessions. By night, it becomes the center of onboard entertainment, featuring live music, performances, and Windstar’s popular crew talent show — a longtime tradition that often becomes a voyage highlight.

“Designing our first new build has been an exciting project for us,” said Stijn Creupelandt, Windstar’s chief operating officer. “Every detail of the yacht’s layout has been carefully considered to maximize versatility and enhance our signature small-ship experience.”

More Options at Sea

In addition to the reimagined dining venues, Star Seeker will also feature Star Grill, an open-air restaurant specializing in grilled meats, seafood, and vegetables. For guests preferring to dine in-suite, 24-hour room service — including Amphora’s full dinner menu — is available at no extra charge.

Following its christening in January, Star Seeker will begin sailing in the Caribbean before heading to Alaska in the summer. Later itineraries will take the yacht to Japan and Southeast Asia, with stops that highlight less-traveled ports in Vietnam and Thailand.

With adaptable public spaces and a design ethos built around intimacy and flexibility, Star Seeker aims to deliver a modern update to Windstar’s signature style: relaxed luxury in a small-ship setting.
