Holland America Announces Anticipated 2028 Grand Voyages
Choose from a 129-Day Grand World Voyage or a 90-Day Circumnavigation of Australia & New Zealand

SEATTLE, WA: 30 APRIL, 2026: Holland America Line has unveiled its 2028 Grand Voyages, offering travelers two sweeping itineraries by sea: a 129-day Grand World Voyage that circles the globe and a 90-day Grand Australia & New Zealand Voyage. Each has been designed to emphasize extended stays ashore, less-traveled ports and a more deliberate pace of exploration.

The voyages are built around marquee experiences. The Grand World Voyage includes a full Antarctic sailing and a call at Easter Island, while the Australia and New Zealand itinerary ventures into remote regions of Western Australia seldom included on major cruise routes. In a first for the line, both itineraries will call at Bora Bora in the same season — an itinerary feat made possible by the smaller size of the ships, Volendam and Zaandam, which can reach ports inaccessible to larger vessels.

Sailing in January 2028, the Grand World Voyage departs roundtrip from Fort Lauderdale, while the Grand Australia & New Zealand Voyage departs roundtrip from San Diego, with no international flights required to begin the journey. Travelers can place a deposited Future Cruise Request now to receive priority booking access before the voyages open to the general public.
