Council Bluffs, IA (May 29, 2020) – Horseshoe Council Bluffs will reopen at 50% of its gaming position capacity at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, June 1st in accordance with directives from the state of Iowa pending all regulatory approvals.

Slot machines will be configured with limited seating to provide for appropriate physical distancing. At this time, Table Games will remain closed to adhere to the social distancing requirements of the state. The casino will be closed from 3:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m. daily for cleaning and disinfecting.

Other amenities, including the Sports Book and VIP Lounge, will also open Monday, June 1. Certain amenities, including Jack Binion’s Steak House, Poker, and Valet, will remain closed until further notice, and are planned to reopen in phases that are in-line with consumer demand and pursuant to guidance provided by public health authorities. Although Village Square Buffet will remain closed, café style food offerings will be available from 10:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m. in the buffet area. Horseshoe Council Bluffs is focused on the well-being of team members, guests and the community, and is striving to create an enjoyable environment that emphasizes sanitization and physical distancing practices. Horseshoe Council Bluffs will implement new health and safety protocols previously announced by Caesars Entertainment Corporation (“Caesars Entertainment”), which enhance its existing plans and practices in these areas.

Among the enhanced health and safety protocols include more frequent cleaning and sanitization. Additionally, team member screenings will be conducted as will daily temperature checks. Team members will be required to wear masks, which will be provided by Horseshoe. Guests will be provided masks and will be strongly encouraged to wear them throughout their visit.
