Anthem “Rocks” its way into Villefranche-sur-Mer

12 MAY 2015, VILLEFRANCHE SUR MER: With Gigi the Giraffe standing watch, Royal Caribbean’s newest ship, Anthem of the Seas, made its first call at the beautiful bay of Villefranche-sur-Mer today disembarking its 4,200 passengers to enjoy and appreciate all the pleasures which the Côte d’Azur offers.
Promising, “We Will Rock You,” the Anthem is a revolutionary new ship with such innovations as the North Star, a jewel-shaped capsule that gently ascends more than 300 feet above sea level providing passengers breathtaking 360° views of the sea of the destination. It’s one of the most anticipated features on this ship.
Passengers can also experience the thrills of a skydiving simulator, take a spin in one of the 30 bumper cars, and finish their day with a drink at the Bionic Bar, where a robot it your mixologist. For more information Royal Caribbean has a dedicated microsite.
Residents of this beautiful port delighted in welcoming the new flagship, which will be back on July 10th for a special celebration day where all the city of Villefranche-sur-Mer and its shopkeepers will organize a very special welcoming to passengers and crew members.
